Professional Bursaries Scheme for Teachers in their 4th and 5th Years of Teaching
The Professional Bursaries Scheme offers teachers in their fourth and fifth years of teaching a bursary of £500 to spend on their own professional development. The scheme enables teachers to take responsibility for their professional development by letting the individual decide how they spend their bursary. All we ask is that bursary-funded activities help meet your professional development needs. For example, buying materials, attending courses, visiting key sites abroad, work shadowing or arranging guest speakers. http://www.teachernet.gov.uk/professionaldevelopment/ opportunities/bursaries/
Award bearing INSET training
The award-bearing INSET funds will support the in-service training of teachers in England. These funds will also support high quality award-bearing courses that further the Governments' agenda on improving schools. They are allocated to providers for teachers, defined as those with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). http://www.teachernet.gov.uk/professionaldevelopment/ opportunities/awardbearingandinset/
Best Practice Research Scholarships programme (BPRS)
