A set of publications are now available to schools and LEAs - Aiming High: Supporting Effective Use of EMAG; Managing the Ethnic Minority Achievement Grant - Good practice in primary schools; and Managing the Ethnic Minority Achievement Grant - Good practice in secondary schools. These provide advice and case studies on how making effective use of the Ethnic Minority Achievement Grant (EMAG).

Aiming High: Supporting Effective Use of EMAG (DfES)
This guidance provides practical advice on how LEAs and schools can use the Ethnic Minority Achievement Grant (EMAG) most effectively to support minority ethnic pupils at risk of underachieving and bilingual pupils.
It builds on the information in the Standards Fund Circular 2004-5 and the statutory responsibilities placed on LEAs and schools by the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 to promote race equality.

Managing the Ethnic Minority Achievement Grant (OFSTED)
Two reports have been published both entitled Managing the Ethnic Minority Achievement Grant. These reports focus on using EMAG effectively One focuses on primary schools (HMI 2072) and one on secondary schools (HMI 2172). These documents complement the Aiming High: Supporting Effective Use of EMAG mentioned above.
