Gifted and talented pupils, aged 11-19 years, may be eligible for the National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth Student Academy. As a member of the student academy, students can access a range of additional opportunities that will complement and extend or deepen their learning in school.

For example:

  • A year round programme of short courses delivered by experts at locations across the country
  • Summer schools providing a lengthier, in-depth focus on one subject in a university environment
  • Online study groups, offering internet-based learning guided by academic specialists
  • Discussions forum where member discuss wide-range topics

Schools should consider whether their pupils might be eligible for membership of the student academy. The eligibility criteria for membership can be found on the NAGTY website. We encourage schools to nominate students for membership. There are currently about 110,000 student members.

London Gifted and Talented (LGT) also offer a range of online learning opportunities for students.
