Pupil 1 - "The thing that I like best in English is poetry and drama, because you do it all together and you sometimes go in groups."
Pupil 2 - "I like writing descriptive writing because you feel free and you are allowed to do whatever you want on it."
Pupil 3 - "In English, I like drama, because you can be with your friends and you can make your own scenes."
Pupil 4 - "I like writing stories because you can make up your own characters."
Pupil 5 - "I like writing stories and news reports in English, because I can imagine, um, things and that."
Pupil 6 - "Well, I like reading and we did our news report. Miss set us homework and that really helped me use my full stops and sentences."
Pupil 7 - "I like reading non-fiction, because it tells you all about the world."
Pupil 8 - "I find it difficult in English comprehension, because I can’t remember the story when I’m answering questions.
Pupil 4 - "I hate paragraph, because you can’t know where to start or finish."
Pupil 5 - "I find spelling most difficult, because I’m not a very good speller."
Pupil 9 - "Erm, when I’m writing a long time, my writing goes all untidy, but when I plan my work, I find it’s easier."
Pupil 1 - "The thing that helps me learn is sitting in a small group doing guided reading with just a couple of people and learning different books."
Pupil 3 - "It helps me learn working with a partner because you can share your ideas."
Pupil 4 - "The things what make me learn is when I’m with a teacher and in a pair."
Pupil 5 - "Erm, when I’m sitting next to a partner, they help me with my spellings and give me ideas."
Pupil 6 - "Being in a guided group because other people can give ideas to other people that will help them and me and Miss gives you time to plan and that, not like rushing into things."
Pupil 7 - "It helps me when I work in small groups and look at my targets."
Pupil 9 - "What helps me learn is my, erm, target looking at facts around the classroom."
