Training materials for the foundation subjects

These materials have been designed to help departments implement the foundation subjects strand of the Key Stage 3 National Strategy from autumn 2002.

An overview of the training materials for the foundation subjects is available as a downloadable document. It gives an introduction to the training materials, outlines programme planning, special schools and describes what's in the training folder.

The materials in the training folder are available to download from this page. The folder contains 14 modules, each lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes. The modules are designed to be used flexibly by foundation subjects departments, and each module will fit into a typical training session during a training event. Alternatively, these modules can be used for twilight training.
