The Children's Workforce Development Council Learning Mentor Co-ordinator and those with similar roles
Best Western Hotel Stoke-on-Trent Moat House 13th March 2008
The Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC) recognise that learning mentors are an integral part of their footprint, they provide invaluable support to many children and young people and are extremely important to schools and parents.
With the publication of the Children's Plan, the Comprehensive Spending Review and planned funding for schools for three years, 2008 will be a key year in the further development of the learning mentor (and similar roles). This conference will enable those responsible for local policy and support of the learning mentor role to reflect on the successful impact on the lives of children and young people and to look at the influence of national policy on future support. |
