CLLD writing samples

The following writing samples were produced independently by YR children in schools participating in the CLLD programme. They illustrate the independent application of phonics skills and knowledge and a range of attainment within the phonic phases.

Consultants may wish to use these to support moderation of teachers' assessment.

It is anticipated that further samples will be added in due course, illustrating pupil progress through the year.

Thank you to the schools and children who have contributed these samples.

Parents' and carers' booklets

These booklets give further information about the Letters and Sounds programme and the best way for parents and carers to support at home the learning of children in early years settings and reception classes.

They have been designed in such a way that they can be personalised by the setting or school prior to being shared with parents and carers.
