Information for Co-ordinators summary

A large amount of information has been disseminated to EiC gifted and talented strand co-ordinators including final guidance on the role of the gifted and talented co-ordinator, the design of a teaching and learning programme, and the identification of the able pupil cohort. As part of their role co-ordinators are also building networks to support the development of the teaching and learning programme and study support opportunities, including developing links with independent schools. A number of grants were awarded to Partnerships for the implementation of several innovative small scale projects for their gifted and talented cohorts in the 1999/2000 financial year.
