Steps in dealing with attendance
The importance of attendance is something that needs to be promoted across the whole school and beyond, in order to get the support of parents and the community. Preventing truancy is of course better than having to trouble shoot, and so putting a whole-school policy in place early will help. Ensuring that the school environment feels safe and happy to pupils will also contribute to attendance.
