Welcome to the National Teacher Research Panel's website.
The National Teacher Research Panel is sponsored by:
The Innovation Unit,
The General Teaching Council for Englandand
The National College for School Leadership
The National Teacher Research Panel is an independent group of practising teachers who work to:
- ensure that all research in education takes account of the teacher perspective;
- ensure a higher profile for research and evidence informed practice in government, academic and practitioner communities; and
- increase the number of teachers engaged in and with the full spectrum of research activity.
We hope this website will be useful to researchers, research funders, policymakers, and of course teachers. This site will help:
- Researchers
To access an expert teacher perspective on all aspects of their work;
- Research funders
To involve expert teachers in planning for and reviewing the outcomes of their research programmes;
- Policymakers
To build expert teacher perspectives on research into policymaking, to explore how research can help illustrate policies in action and provide systematic feedback on how they work on the ground;
- School leaders
To support their colleagues in using and doing research in order to enhance teaching and learning; and of course
- Teachers
To see how research can help improve teaching and learning and how teachers can get involved in small and large scale research activities.
