How do I know if these materials have been effective?

You will know that these materials have been effective if you:

• use the research activities set out here to extend your knowledge of your colleagues' development goals and needs;
• integrate the use of research findings and processes with professional development to enhance teaching and learning.
  

If you do use the research activities you can send the results to the National Teacher Research Panel, who will process them to provide a national overview, thus enabling you to compare the pattern of your colleagues’ needs with those from other schools.
