| | | | SRB | Single Regeneration Budget The SRB provides funding to support regeneration activities in England carried out by local groups. It is an important tool in the Government's drive to tackle social exclusion and promote equality of opportunity. | | | | SEN | Special Educational Needs A child is defined as having special educational needs if he or she has a learning difficulty which needs special teaching. A learning difficulty means that the child has significantly greater difficulty in learning than most children of the same age. Or, it means a child has a disability which needs different educational facilities from those that schools generally provide for children of the same age in the area. | | | | SAT | Standard Attainment Tests Pupils are assessed by national tests at the ages of 7, 11, and 14, at the end of Key Stages 1, 2 and 3.
