Visit the Primary Languages Training Zone!

www.primarylanguages.org.uk is being launched at the 2007 Primary Languages Show in Manchester. The Primary Languages Training zone is an online resource developed by CILT, the National Centre for Languages, working with the DfES to support leaders, teachers and trainers to implement the entitlement for every child to learn a new language from the age of 7 by 2010.

The website contains interactive material to illustrate the Key Stage 2 Framework for Languages, including video footage of language teaching and training, sound files of classroom language to support language upskilling and interviews with head teachers, governors and leading practitioners. This innovative training zone provides access to the latest guidance and insights on embedding primary languages including the use of ICT.

If you are a Key Stage 2 practitioner, visit the site from Friday 16th March. Whether you are completely new to language learning, or already teach languages, the primaryLanguages site has something for you.
