Introduction

The Teaching Resources area of the Primary Strategy website holds electronic versions of the published Unit Plans which you can download and use to support your planning.

Select a Year group and Term using the pull-down menus to access the relevant Unit Plans.

Unit Plans have been written to provide teachers with:

Guidance and support for planning mathematics lessons;
A link between planning from the Framework for teaching mathematics and medium term plans;
A structure for their planning that reduces workload;
Support for planning the content, pace and pitch of lessons.

Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 Unit Plans are also available on CD-ROM from Prolog - reference number DfES: 0507/2003
