KS2 Languages

The Key Stage 2 Framework for Languages is the cornerstone of the National Languages Strategy and focuses on key skills such as speaking, reading and writing.  This builds on the successful approach of the National Literacy Strategy in primary schools and will be a major part of the commitment to improving literacy in all primary schools.

The Primary Languages Training zone is an online resource developed by CILT, the National Centre for Languages, working with the DfES to support leaders, teachers and trainers to implement the entitlement for every child to learn a new language from the age of 7 by 2010.
