The SEN/LDD Inclusion network meetings – May 2008
What is it?
The SEN/LDD Inclusion network meetings are regional meetings for local authority (LA) officers and advisers. They provide:
- national and regional updates on the Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF) and the National Strategies developments;
- opportunities for LAs to reflect on the implications for development and implementation;
- a forum for officers to network and share policy and practice.
Invitations are usually sent via the LA SEN/Inclusion strategic lead and/or the School Improvement strategic lead. The invitation is usually extended to delegated LA officers and advisers who may include:
- the principal educational psychologist;
- the lead adviser for SEN/LDD;
- the head of SEN support services;
- School Improvement officers/advisers linked to SEN/LDD.
