What is it?
This book and CDROM contain materials to help teachers and practitoners teach writing in the Reception Year of the foundation stage and through key stage 1. They emphasise the importance of shared writing and teaching from the objectives in the National Literacy Strategy Framework for teaching and the QCA Early learning goals. Parts 1 and 3 of the book address generic issues on the teaching of writing with young children; Part 2 addresses each year group - foundation stage: Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 - individually.
A copy of Developing early writing has been sent to every primary school in England and all Reception and KS1 teachers are entitled to their own copy.
A video accompanies this book and must be ordered separately.
