What is it?
These materials will be useful to teachers who are new to Year 6, supply teachers and any teacher who wishes to review their existing planning. They are presented as one example of how Year 6 planning can be constructed.
Booklet 3 contains revision material for the 5 weeks before the KS2 tests based on QCA test papers from the last few years which are available on the Test Base CDROM.

Each week has a day-by-day planner and resources to support teaching.
Barrowquest
The electronic files to complement the extended narrative writing unit in Y6 Term 3 can be downloaded below. This three-week unit involves reading a model 'quest adventure' on five chapters and using this as a basis for developing an extended story through shared and independent writing. Full details are provided on pages 39-64 of Y6 Planning Exemplifcation: Booklet 3.
The electronic files are designed for easy use on both PC and Macintosh computers and with a variety of software. Make sure you download both a 'Barrowquest story' and a 'Barrowquest template' file for the software you are using.
