What is it?

This report provides continuing evidence about the national literacy and numeracy strategies and their effects on the primary curriculum. It summarises the standards attained, reports on teaching and curriculum organisation and suggests areas where further work is needed. It also looks ahead to the implementation of the Primary National Strategy from September 2003.
