Summer numeracy schools: Units of work
| Audience: |
Coordinators |
| Date of issue: |
Oct. 2000 |
| Reference number: |
DfES0326/2000 |
What is it?
The intention of the summer numeracy schools is to provide intensive, focused teaching in mathematics and to create an environment where pupils will want to work hard and enjoy doing so. To help summer school coordinators plan their programmes for 2000, sets of work for mathematics have been prepared. These sets are based on a selection of objectives from the Framework for teaching mathematics - those most likely to be effective in raising pupils' attainment from level 3 to level 4.
