Ruler (version 1.2)

What is it?
Ruler is an interactive teaching program (ITP) which displays an on-screen ruler you can use to measure lines and the sides of shapes. There is a choice of rulers and five screens to use to demonstrate measuring length. You can draw your own lines and shapes or select those that are available on the ITP. The ITP can be used to demonstrate how to use measure using different rulers. The ITP can be used to compare lengths and the perimeters of shapes and to support children’s understanding of scale.

Ruler (PC) (EXE 828Kb)
This version of Ruler runs on Windows based personal computers. This is an '.exe' file which may be rejected by some networked computers where an internet firewall is in place. If in doubt download the zipped version.

This version of Ruler runs on Windows based personal computers. You will need to have an unzip utility, such as WinZip for Windows or StuffIt Expander for Windows and Apple Macintosh, installed on your computer to unzip this file.
