This area highlights resources that will be of interest to those working to raise the attainment of children with special educational needs (SEN), children learning English as an additional language (EAL), children of ethnic minority heritage (EMA) and gifted and able children.

Many of these subjects also have dedicated areas which can be found in our inclusion feature area.

New Arrivals Excellence Programme Case Studies The case studies featured provide examples of how five schools have developed a range of provision to support new arrivals.

Gifted and talented - primary and secondary focus area The Gifted and talented - primary and secondary focus area provides a range of guidance, materials and resources to support local authorities (LAs), school leaders and leading teachers in meeting the needs of gifted and talented learners, including identifying and supporting the 'hidden gifted'.
