Effective practice in guided reading

Aims of the day

  • To share effective methods of gathering evidence from guided reading to contribute to Assessment for learning (AfL) (Activity 1).
  • To secure an overview of progression in the learning and teaching of specific aspects of language comprehension (Activity 2).
  • To consider how effective AfL depends on creating the conditions for learning that support the process (Activity 3).
