Year 6 progression to Year 7
Here the objectives for literacy are organised by years. These objectives reflect end-of-year expectations for each of the year groups. The objectives under Year 6 progression into Year 7 are in the main pitched around Level 5 to help plan appropriately for children working at level 4 or 5 and to support transition from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3. They can be used to support planning to ensure that children make the expected progress over the year and across years. Covering these objectives will allow children to reach the Early Learning Goals for communication, language and literacy and the appropriate National Curriculum levels at Key Stages 1 and 2.
