Information processing

Children will be able to locate and refer to relevant examples from a DVD text.

Reasoning

Children will be able to give reasons for their opinions about the impact of a range of persuasive texts.

Evaluation

Children will develop their own assessment criteria to evaluate persuasive texts. They will use these when reviewing their own work and the work of others.

Social skills

When working collaboratively, children will listen to and respect other people's ideas and take on a variety of roles in a group.

Communication

Children will develop their ability to discuss as they work collaboratively in pairs, groups and whole-class contexts. They will communicate persuasively orally, in writing and through ICT if appropriate.
