Year 4 Summer 2nd Half of term - With Year 4 teacher: 1. Compile pupil tracker information: How many children are on track? How many should be on track?; 2. Analyse QCA tests and children's work: What are key aspects of literacy and mathematics that need to be developed?; 3. Map out possible use of wave 2 and 3 interventions for year 5 Year 5 Autumn 1st Half of term - Investigate further the specific aspects and possible barriers for groups/individuals through questioning, interviewing and work scrutiny Year 5 Autumn 2nd Half of term, Spring 2nd Half of term & Summer 2nd Half of term - 10. Review progress of groups and individuals against age related expectations; 11. Update pupil tracker (if appropriate) Year 5 Autumn, Spring & Summer - 5. Review and set high-value age-related curricular targets; 6. Differentiate the curricular targets for more and less able; 7. Discuss curricular targets with all additional adults and share with parents/carers and children; 8. Amend medium and short-term planning to ensure achievement of the curricular targets; 9. Consider the use of 'intervention' to support the accelerated progress of groups/individuals Year 5 Summer 2nd Half of term - 13. Plan and deliver units to support effective transition to next class (See Year 6 timeline); 14 Provide Year 6 teacher with appropriate data; 15. Work with Year 4 teacher Year 5 Summer 2nd Half of term - 12. Carry out optional QCA tests

 

The timeline provides prompts and questions for key activities to maintain the momentum of learning as children move through upper Key Stage 2 and on into Key Stage 3. The purpose is to help you to help those children who, with additional and personalised support, are able to attain Level 4 and so be ready to progress their own learning and benefit from life's chances in the future.
