In this unit, pupils focus on organising or performing in a dance show(s). They work in groups to prepare for, choreograph and perform their shows. They will work in groups, and take on a range of roles and responsibilities to ensure the standard of organisation and performance.
In dance as a whole, pupils think about how to use movement to explore and communicate ideas and issues, and their own feelings and thoughts. As they work, they develop an awareness of the historical and cultural origins of different dances.
This unit is expected to take 12-18 hours.
