About this unit

In this unit, pupils focus on preparing for and taking part in competitive events, displays or festivals in swimming. They learn how to organise and run these events, to prepare technically and physically for them, and to analyse, monitor and improve performance.

Swimming activities and water safety require pupils to float and propel themselves in water in order to engage in a range of water-based activities.

This unit is expected to take 12-18 hours.
