Outcomes

Section 1: What are my identities? (1)
Children:
  • understand the importance of ground rules in challenging discrimination, stereotypes and racism
  • describe their identities and the groups they feel they belong to
  • recognise different identities and experiences
  • appreciate that identity consists of many factors, including values, race and gender
  • recognise that each person's identity is unique and can change
  • appreciate the importance of respect within a diverse society

Children:
  • explore personal values and attitudes
  • make links between identity, lifestyle and behaviour
  • recognise that different identities can result in different treatment, which may in turn result in bullying, racism and stereotyping
  • recognise the importance of respecting difference and similarities between individuals and groups in a diverse society

  • recognise diversity and understand that it is positive and a strength to celebrate
