Where the unit fits in

This unit builds on all the key stage 1 units, and Unit 4 'Why do we remember Florence Nightingale?' in particular, by focusing on the contribution of key individuals to the history of Britain. It introduces some of the political and religious factors that affected Henry VIII's decisions. Unit 8, 'What were the differences between the lives of rich and poor people in Tudor times?', also focuses on the Tudor period but from a social and economic perspective.
