Knowledge and understanding about becoming informed citizens
Pupils should be taught about:

Developing skills of enquiry and communication

Developing skills of participation and responsible action
Pupils should be taught to:

This unit builds on unit 7 'Local democracy' in the key stage 3 citizenship scheme of work. It also links with unit 9 'Consumer rights and responsibilities' in the key stage 4 scheme.
