Work in this unit will introduce children to the idea of religious festivals. Children learn about harvest festivals using the Christian harvest festival and the Jewish festival of Sukkot as examples. For some children it may also introduce the concept of God and the fact that there is more than one religion. Other harvest festivals from around the world, such as Thanksgiving, could also be introduced.
