Visit a local company to see how a product is designed and manufactured and how ICT influences manufacturing in industry. If a visit to a local company cannot be arranged, pupils could watch a video or slide show, or go on a virtual visit using the internet site of a manufacturer.		talk about how a local company produces a product, eg what it makes, the materials/ingredients, tools and equipment that it uses, including ICT
