About this unit

In this unit, pupils learn how to say what they need and do not need, using il faut. They also learn to express gratitude and consolidate the language of description presented in previous units.

New language content:
  • il faut + noun/verb
  • direct object pronouns, le/la/l'/les
  • c'était as a lexical item

New contexts:

  • being and receiving a guest
  • expressing thanks and appreciation

Alternative contexts: taking care of the environment; healthy lifestyles (dos and don'ts); making or confirming future plans or arrangements; giving advice, explanations or instructions, eg for reaching a destination; writing letters of introduction; comparing oneself with others.

This unit is expected to take 12-15 hours.
