Year 9 booster kit - English

The Key Stage 3 National Strategy aims to improve standards in all subjects. This guidance is designed to help teachers enable pupils to maximise their achievements in English at the end of Key Stage 3. Pupils will then enter Key Stage 4 confident and better prepared for GCSE and other courses.

The guidance reinforces approaches that teachers in schools are using in the English strand of the Key Stage 3 National Strategy. It reflects existing good practice in many schools and will help all schools to strengthen pupils' understanding of English before the National Curriculum tests in May.
