Improving English pedagogy through use of ICT - Buddy's moods

A teacher of a low-achieving Year 9 class developed this approach to teach her pupils to move beyond the literal in their reading. The pupils found it very difficult to infer a character's emotions from the author's narration if they were not explicitly stated.
