Improving English pedagogy through use of ICT - Text matrix
Background One of the great advances brought by the Internet is the ability to research and collect texts relevant to an investigation or theme. However, teachers did not have an easy way of filing and linking web pages so that they could store and share them.
A teacher and consultant came up with what became known as a text matrix. This is a page initially constructed in WORD (later converted to PDF or HTML) which links web addresses together around a theme or in relation to a text.
Later, this was developed further to enable pupils to construct their own matrices.
