Improving mathematics results with Year 9 Booster programme

About the school

Langley High School is an 11 to 16 comprehensive school with between 500 and 600 pupils on roll, in Sandwell, a West Midlands Metropolitan LEA. The overall attainment of pupils on entry to the school is well below the national average. Nearly half the pupils come from families of ethnic minority heritage.

Over the last five years the school has reinvented itself, giving greater time in classrooms to the forward thinking curriculum in Key Stage 4. Addressing these issues, combined with the appointment of new key staff, has contributed to the general raising of standards across the school.
