This area contains video clips photographs, pieces of work and written materials that can be used as a starting point for moderation of the P scales. The moderation activities included in this site contain reference to many of these samples of evidence. They can be used with the moderation activities or as useful resources to develop your own activities.

This evidence section will be of interest to all colleagues who work only rarely with children and young people working within the P levels. They can be used effectively to demonstrate the whole continuum of learning and will support the development of expertise and skills to understand the broader context of progression for all children.

It is important to remember that approximate P level judgements are given for each piece of evidence as a starting point for discussion.

All samples of evidence here were developed as part of a  three year DfES Regional Partnership research project in collaboration with the University of Northampton and the East Midlands Regional Partnership.
