Welcome
EiC National Champions 2004

The School Improvement and Targets Team works with schools causing concern and those in challenging circumstances. Working with schools and our partners we have developed a range of initiatives to support better ways of working. Our aim is to transform the delivery of education so that every pupil has the opportunity to reach his or her true potential.

The site has information on schools causing concern (SCC), along with details of the schools facing challenging circumstances initiative, which now dovetails with the National Challenge and City Challenge Programmes.

Full details of the National Challenge Programme are available at www.dcsf.gov.uk/nationalchallenge

Details of the City Challenge initiatives in London, Greater Manchester and the Black Country are available at www.dcsf.gov.uk/citychallenge/

Our target setting site is at www.standards.dcsf.gov.uk/ts
