At Wandsworth City Learning Centre we see the training of teachers as a key activity. It allows us to introduce and promote the CLC, its aims, practices and support activities to in-service and trainee teachers and therefore effect and improve the quality of teaching in Wandsworth and beyond. The CLC provides ICT training to the Wandsworth School Centred Initial Teacher Training programme, the Secondary Wandsworth Graduate Teacher Programme and the West London Graduate Teacher Programme based at Brunel University. We also link in with the host school Southfields Community College to provide the ICT element of their Graduate Trainee Programme. The CLC also trains Wandsworth's Primary School NQTs.

We also work with The University of Surrey, Roehampton Institute, providing their Music PGCE students both Primary and Secondary with Music Technology courses.

We are developing web based materials for trainees to access. Learning materials for teacher training incorporating examples and ideas for use in the primary classroom can be found on our website.

In addition we provide termly training for nursery nurses and weekly training for teaching assistants.
