Most study support is run by schools and it is up to individual schools to decide what activities they provide. Decisions are normally taken after discussing with teachers, parents and pupils to get their views. A teacher may be appointed to run the study support programme for the school, but others may also be involved such as teaching assistants, school support staff, or parents. Some schools use pupil mentors from local colleges, or peer tutors (older students from the same school) to help with activities.
