Paragraph 30 onwards covers the School Development Grant (SDG). The circular lists former Standards Fund Grants which will be incorporated into the SDG in 2006 for the first time; it does not mention study support, which has been part of the SDG for the last two years. Study support funding will continue to form part of the SDG.

Paragraph 37 confirms that, as in previous years, Local Authorities may continue to hold back an element of the SDG for strategic use.
