The main aim of this site is to provide information for primary teachers about the range of thinking skills programmes and approaches that are available, how they relate to thinking skills in the National Curriculum and what research and evidence underpins them. The site also contains some supporting information to help you use the database of thinking skills resources for primary teachers. There is an Overview Map of the information pages which should help you identify the range of information that is provided. The Families Map is a Venn diagram to eanble you to look at all of the entries in the database according to the type of approach that they use. There is a History section which offers an overview of the development of thinking skills programmes and approaches. Some Case Studies illustrate how teachers have used these approaches in their classroom. A Glossary is available for unfamiliar terms and the References section contains details of the articles and books in the database and supporting information.
