Activity: Monitoring Progress Towards Targets (Primary)
What: Summarising information (from teachers' on going assessments) of pupils' progress against key learning objectives to give an indication on a "best fit" basis of the levels that pupils are working within.
Who: SMT, assessment co-ordinator, subject co-ordinators, information shared with whole staff.

What: Summarising information (from teachers' on-going assessments, pupil reviews of progress, end of unit assessments, and in-house examinations) on pupils' progress to give an indication on a "best fit" basis of the levels that pupils are working within or grades that they are likely to achieve.

What: Using summative information taken from teachers' on-going assessments and from standardised tests to review progress of year groups towards their end of key stage targets.

What: Carry out initial analyses of results:
- against previous performance;
- against targets set previously;
- between subjects and attainment targets;
- between groups of pupils; and

Activity: Looking at How School Compares With Other Schools
What: Analysis of school performance against national results, benchmark information and value added information in the Autumn package, the Pupil Achievement Tracker (PAT) and the various LEA analyses.

Secondary: SMT, heads of department, assessment co-co-ordinator, all staff.

Activity: Target Setting (Primary)
What: Statutory end of Key Stage 2 targets for Year 5.
Possible additional target setting for the end of Key Stages 1 & 2 set on a long term basis for pupils at the beginning of each key stage.

Activity: Further In-depth Analysis of Performance
What: Some schools carry out further analyses of data at this time (for example, looking in depth at the performance of different groups of pupils using the Autumn Package value added graphs) in preparation for the next round of target setting in the following autumn term.
