School Risk Management and Insurance [VFMU]
An initial feasibility study on reducing the cost of schools insurable risk reported in December 2004. Following which, the DCSF Value for Money Unit engaged Capgemini to validate and develop their early findings and recommendations within three pilot local authorities and 10 test panel authorities. This phase reported in June 2005, with recommendations to take this forward into an implementation phase.
Phase 3, the implementation phase drew on work to implement the resulting School Risk Management and Insurance Strategy. This began in January 2006 and reported in May 2007. The aim of the strategy is to ensure schools achieve value for money from their insurance budget. Full details on all phases of the project, including the RMToolkit can be found on this site.
