Collaboration and partnership

Working in collaboration and partnership is becoming increasingly important as schools deliver extended services and personalisation, and this offers great opportunities to improve services and make savings. This can range from 'soft' collaboration such as collaborative procurement and sixth form consortia to hard federation and shared trusts which put in place formal contractual arrangements to share staff and resources more easily leading to improved facilities, a broader curriculum and improved sustainability across groups of schools.

Sharing guidance and good practice
The sections in this area aim to signpost you to relevant, practical advice and guidance for schools. Schools should also contact their local authority to discuss the services and support they can offer, which will be tailored to local needs and priorities.
